The Great American Truck Driver

When I was a young boy, I dreamed that one day I would grow up and drive behind the wheel of a great 18-wheeled truck.

Me and “The Bandit” would deliver ice cold beer to the thirsty people of America. I’d have a mustache and the chicks would dig me.

Total Stud

And I’d have a little buddy chimpanzee riding along with me enjoying the freedom of the open road.

BJ and The Bear

Well, that dream never came true for me. And like many of my career aspirations, my wife vetoed truck-driving school.

My husband, the truck driver

And she vetoed the mustache.

Mustache rides

So now it looks like the closest I will ever get to my dreams is organizing truck drivers with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

The Teamsters

Here is my tribute to the long-haulers, gearjammers, big-time operators, dixie cups, and desperadoes of America’s highways. Just click to play or download these classic truck-drivin’ tunes!

I like your site. So much that I sent the address to a friend of mine in Folkestone, England and he is passing it on to his friends over there. Hang in there and keep building.

I have been living my lifelong dream for 29 years now and my sons are truckers too.

    As they say…”Keep on trucking!”
